Being ahead of the game.

I am inspired by a colleague of mine from Kwik Kopy Auburn, Kate McConville. Kate and I have formed a strategic alliance that has the potential to initially create less work for her. Yet she knows this will keep her ahead of the game.

Kate has been in the printing game for the last eight years and knows her stuff. She has seen how society is keen to embrace sustainable practices and her business has evolved to embrace new technologies as they become viable options. As you’d imagine printing is moving to digital these days and Kate and her team can provide the traditional offset solutions or the short runs that are now more viable with digital processes.

I know Kate prints annual reports and for me it is a no brainer that public listed companies should be making a video version of their annual reports. It will save paper, save costs and is more likely to be shared online. It is an easy to spread the word about what a company is up to and how it is performing.

I approached Kate with this concept because I knew she is a smart business person. Initially you might think, but hey if you’re making videos of what Kate prints, she’ll lose money. To the small minded business person that might be the response you could expect. However Kate has an abundant mindset and embraced the idea of Kwik Kopy Auburn and Sonic Sight aligning our services.

The fact is, more and more content is moving online. What used to be printed is now being posted as words or created as video content. Ignoring that reality is a path to a dead end.

So rather than put her head in the sand Kate has welcomed the opportunity to collaborate in new and innovative ways. This means she can offer a more appropriate and comprehensive solution to her clients. It reassures her clients that she is truly on their side and acting in their interests.
